Purpose

For the first time, Clutch Coaching will be offering group sessions for year 9-11 cricketers as they take on the new set of new challenges they face at the high school level. Clutch Coaching aims to meet the more personalised needs of cricketers at this level to help them adapt, overcome adversity, and find success on the cricket field.

Personalised session plans

Each group will have 5 session plans unique to their cricketing needs. When signing up for this programme you will be asked to identify 1- 3 areas of your child's game they would like to work on. We'll do our best to include as many of these in the group sessions you register for.

Suitability

These programmes are designed for hard ball cricketers year 9 -year 11 (13-16 years of age).

What to expect

Groups sessions will take place on a fortnightly basis as we balance the availability of additional high quality cricket sessions with taking care of our athletes to ensure they don't burn out.

Number of sessions

If you sign up, your child will attend a total of 5 sessions over the course of 10 weeks during term 1 of the cricket season.

Group sizing

Each group will use 1 lane for their training and consist of between 4-6 members. Where possible, group sizes will be 5 cricketers.

Coaches

1 senior coach - Greg Holt (unless unavailable)

1 additional junior coach for sessions with 6 cricketers (Often a year 12/13 first Xl cricketer)

Dates 

The 10 week period of fortnightly trainings will take place between Monday the 27th of January and Sunday the 6th of April.

Please note:  At this stage these sessions are the proposed options. It is unlikely all of these sessions will go ahead. You will have the option to select multiple that suit your child.

Additional information

- When registering, you will have the opportunity to request other cricketers for your child to be in the same group with if they have friends who are also keen.

- When signing up for a day and time, you must select at least 2 options. Please select as many as would work for you to give your child the best chance of joining a group that will go ahead.
